This abandoned farmhouse is one of many scattered around the Golden Triangle in the central Victorian goldfields. Hard times, drought and remote living conditions drove many farmers off their land or forced them and their families to live in the small towns. This area is famous for its big gold nuggets. These days, wheat and sheep are the mainstays of the region.
