2-litres of clean water
Salt - 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon
Sugar - cordial (add last)
Bicarbonate - Lemon Saline, 2-teaspoons
Vit. C - 2x 500mg or 1x1000mg tablets
B-complex - half to one efferecent tab.

..This is a Home-brew electrolyte mix I use during hot weather in the bush. The main constituents are as above, but I use commercial products to make it cost effective.
The Salt is cooking salt. . . half to three quarters of a teaspoon per 2-litres of clean water.
I use a commercial cordial to supply Sugar. Raspberry is best, but I often use lemon (Pub Squash) for its reduced sugar.. . add last.
Wards Lemon Saline powder gives a fizzy drink like seltzer. It aslo holds useful Bicarbonate, sugar and salt. . two teaspoons per 2-litre.
Crush a couple of 500mg Vit-C tablets in a spoon and add them to the 2-litre bottle of water.
Half an efferecent B-complex tablet goes well too.
For older people, especially on BP medications, you need to hydrate even if you do not feel thirsty.
Recent research has shown that older people do not get the 'signals' for thirst as they once would.
It is better to hydrate even though you may think you are dirinking excessivly.
In extreme circumstance, double the amount of water to 4-litres using the basic (2.lt) mix.
If you observe any complications, dihorea, vomiting, see a doctor.
